In a commendable stride towards expanding academic-industry partnerships, Trinity University, Lagos, alongside four other prestigious institutions, has officially entered into a collaborative agreement with the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The MoU, signed on Monday, June 30, 2025, marks a significant milestone in the university’s commitment to practical learning and industrial synergy. Other participating institutions include Yaba College of Technology, Kwara State Polytechnic, Federal Polytechnic Offa, and Kaduna Polytechnic.
The MoU signifies the beginning of a strategic relationship aimed at fostering technical skill development, student internship placements, research collaborations, and infrastructural development in the transport and logistics sector.
Representing Trinity University at the historic event were Professor Clement O. O. Kolawole, Vice-Chancellor; Mr. David O. Oyejide, Registrar; and Dr. Kayode Opeifa, NRC Director and Managing Director. Also present was Dr. Mofoluwake Adaramaja, Dean of Faculty of Management and Social Sciences, and Dr. Samuel David, Head of Accounting Department, who lent their support during the signing ceremony.
