New Juventus manager Igor Tudor says his side is showing signs of progress after a 1-1 draw away at AS Roma on Sunday, as the Bianconeri continue to adjust under his leadership.

Juventus started brightly at the Stadio Olimpico and were rewarded in the first half when captain Manuel Locatelli fired in a stunning goal from outside the box.

Roma responded quickly after the interval, with Eldor Shomurodov finishing off a swift counter-attack to level the score.

“I really liked the first half—we pushed well and played with intensity,” Tudor said after the match. “They changed something in the second half, but in the end, we were the team pushing harder for the win.”

This was Tudor’s second game in charge since replacing Thiago Motta during the international break. Despite Juventus being winless in four league matches, the Croatian coach remains optimistic.

“Considering where the team is coming from physically and mentally, I believe we’re on the right path. The draw gives us confidence to keep improving,” he added.

Tudor, a former Juventus defender, also emphasized the importance of instilling belief in the players and restoring their fighting spirit.

Midfielder Locatelli echoed that sentiment: “When the coach arrived, he immediately told us to believe in ourselves. Playing games like this, we can get back to where we want to be.”

Juventus currently remain in the hunt for a top-four finish, and Tudor will hope continued improvement can help salvage a challenging season.
