Udinese have confirmed that goalkeeper Maduka Okoye will undergo surgery in the coming days after sustaining a wrist injury during their recent Serie A match against Genoa.
The club shared the update via their official website, announcing that the Nigerian international will require surgical intervention to address the issue.
Okoye, 24, has been a pivotal figure for Udinese, cementing his place as the first-choice goalkeeper in the latter half of last season.
sThis campaign, he has already made 14 league appearances under head coach Kosta Runjaic.
Despite his absence, Udinese will continue their Serie A campaign with an away fixture against Monza on Monday evening.
