Max Verstappen converted pole into victory at Monza, fending off early pressure from Lando Norris before easing clear to claim the Italian Grand Prix ahead of McLaren pair Norris and Oscar Piastri.
The Red Bull driver briefly surrendered the lead to avoid a penalty after skipping the opening chicane, but quickly reclaimed top spot and controlled the race from there.McLaren provided late drama when a slow pit stop for Norris allowed Piastri into second, forcing team orders to restore the positions.
Charles Leclerc finished fourth in the lead Ferrari, with George Russell fifth and Lewis Hamilton climbing from 10th on the grid to sixth.Alex Albon impressed with seventh for Williams, while Gabriel Bortoleto, Kimi Antonelli and Isack Hadjar rounded out the points.
Fernando Alonso retired with suspension failure, while Nico Hulkenberg failed to start due to hydraulics issues.
