Super Eagles and Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has brought festive joy to his childhood community of Olusosun in Lagos by donating 2,000 motor-tricycles and food items to youths and mothers.
The 2023 African Footballer of the Year extended his charitable outreach as part of a broader initiative that will also benefit his hometown in Benin.
The gesture follows similar acts of generosity by Super Eagles stars Alex Iwobi and Tolu Arokodare, who have embarked on their own Christmas giveaway projects.
Osimhen, 25, who has been in red-hot form on loan at Galatasaray with 12 goals and five assists in 15 appearances, continues to exemplify giving back to his roots.
Iwobi, now at Fulham, recently distributed food to 100 families in Canning Town, London, through his ‘AleXpress’ initiative, while Genk striker Arokodare teamed up with a Belgian charity to provide food parcels to families in need.
These heartwarming gestures highlight the players’ commitment to making a difference off the pitch during the festive season.
