Villa Beat Spurs to Reach FA Cup Fifth Round

February 10, 2025

Aston Villa secured their place in the FA Cup fifth round for the first time in 10 years with a commanding 2-0 win over Tottenham, piling more pressure on Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou.

Jacob Ramsey fired Villa ahead within the first minute, with Spurs goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky failing to keep out his shot. Morgan Rogers doubled the lead in the 64th minute, smashing home from close range.

Marcus Rashford made his Villa debut moments later following his loan move from Manchester United.

For Tottenham, it was another disappointing cup exit after their heavy Carabao Cup semi-final loss to Liverpool. Villa now await their fifth-round opponent, with the draw set for Monday.
