Lagos, Nigeria – July 29, 2025 – Waka Community International Foundation, a leading Nigerian non-profit organization, is proud to announce a landmark achievement: it is set to become the first Nigerian organization to independently pay for and advertise on a Times Square billboard. This audacious move celebrates the foundation’s 4th anniversary on September 1, 2025.
The team at Welcome to Times Square confirms that the billboard advertisement will be displayed on a billboard at 1560 Broadway ( between 46th and 47th Street) above the Pelé Store in the heart of Times Square, New York, one of the world’s most iconic locations, reaching an estimated 330,000 pedestrians daily and generating over 1.5 million impressions.
This historic milestone marks a significant moment in the foundation’s journey, showcasing its commitment to community empowerment and global visibility.
“Waka Community International Foundation is thrilled to make history with this bold move,” said Lorenz Mba, Founder of Waka Community International Foundation and a champion of physical and mental health advocacy and awareness. “This milestone reflects our dedication to making a lasting impact and our belief in the power of global connectivity. It also serves as proof that African solutions belong on the global stage and such efforts should be supported.”
