Nigeria’s senior men’s cricket team, the Yellow Greens, are on a roll at the ILCT20 Continent Cup in Rwanda, maintaining their unbeaten streak with back-to-back victories.
Fresh off their 2026 ICC T20 Africa Sub-Regional Qualifiers C triumph, the team beat Botswana by 29 runs on Thursday at the Gahanga Cricket Oval after a six-wicket victory over hosts Rwanda on Wednesday via the DLS method.
Thursday’s showdown was electrifying, with captain Sylvester Okpe and Olayinka Olaleye smashing 45 runs each.
Player of the Match Danladi Isaac contributed 28 runs off 19 balls and snagged two wickets.
Nigeria posted a commanding 185/5 in 20 overs, while Peter Aho’s three-wicket haul and Ridwan Abdulkareem’s vital contribution helped restrict Botswana to 156/7.
The Yellow Greens face Uganda next and are determined to keep their winning streak alive as they aim for the final on Saturday.
