Lazio booked their place in the Italian Cup quarterfinals with a 1-0 win over AC Milan, sealed by a late Mattia Zaccagni header in Rome.
With 10 minutes left, Zaccagni met Nuno Tavares’ corner to hand Maurizio Sarri’s side a deserved victory and set up a last-eight meeting with holders Bologna.
His goal also ended Milan’s long unbeaten run, their first loss since August.
For Milan, the defeat leaves the Serie A title race and the Italian Super Cup as their remaining targets.
They stay top of the league on goal difference ahead of Napoli, who also advanced after beating Cagliari.
Elsewhere, Bologna continued their defence with a 2-1 win over Parma courtesy of Santiago Castro’s 89th-minute strike.
