Burnley’s Premier League troubles worsened on home soil after a damaging 3-2 defeat to Fulham, a result that stretched their losing run to seven matches and left Scott Parker under intense pressure.

Set-piece frailty once again proved costly for the Clarets. Just days after conceding directly from a corner against Newcastle, Burnley were undone inside 10 minutes when Harry Wilson’s low delivery caused chaos, allowing Emile Smith-Rowe to tap in from close range.

Burnley responded positively and should have levelled almost immediately, but Lesley Ugochukwu was denied by Bernd Leno when clean through.

The midfielder made amends soon after, squeezing a finish past the Fulham keeper to restore parity against his former club.

Any momentum was short-lived. Fulham regained the lead through another corner sequence, with Wilson picking out the unmarked Calvin Bassey to head home from six yards.

Parker’s side had chances to claw their way back, most notably when Jacob Bruun Larsen was sent clear early in the second half, only for Leno to smother his effort.

The miss proved costly as Wilson struck again minutes later, curling a fine finish into the far corner to make it 3-1.

Despite late changes and a brief lift from Oliver Sonne’s consolation goal, Burnley never truly threatened a comeback.

Boos rang out at full-time, underlining the growing frustration inside Turf Moor as Parker’s position looks increasingly precarious.

Fulham, meanwhile, showed little mercy. The victory gives Marco Silva’s side valuable breathing space away from the relegation zone, while Burnley’s fight for survival grows more desperate by the week.
