FURY RETURNS WITH DOMINANT WIN, CALLS OUT JOSHUA.
Tyson Fury marked his return to the ring with a dominant unanimous decision win
over Arslanbek Makhmudov in London, before immediately calling out Anthony
Joshua for a long-awaited showdown.
Fury, fighting for the first time in 16 months, controlled the bout after an early scare
to win 120-108, 120-108, and 119-109 on the judges’ scorecards.
He settled into rhythm by the third round as Makhmudov faded, cruising through the
remaining rounds.
After the fight, Fury invited Joshua, who was ringside, into the ring and challenged
him to a “Battle of Britain” clash.
Joshua declined but exchanged heated words, insisting he had chased the fight for
years.
The victory improves Fury’s record to 35 wins, two losses, and one draw in his first
outing since defeats to Oleksandr Usyk.
Attention now shifts to whether a long-anticipated fight with Joshua will finally
materialise.
