JUVENTUS SNEAKS PAST ATALANTA TO ENTER TOP FOUR.
Juventus moved into Serie A’s top four with a narrow 1-0 win over Atalanta BC,
extending their unbeaten league run to six matches.
Atalanta started brightly and nearly took the lead early on, with Nicola Zalewski firing
wide and Giorgio Scalvini hitting the post.
Despite their strong opening, clear chances became scarce as both sides struggled
to create.
The hosts came closest before the break through Nikola Krstovic, but Juventus
offered little attacking threat in the first half.
The decisive moment came just three minutes into the second half when Jeremie
Boga’s mishit effort looped into the net after a defensive lapse from Atalanta.
Atalanta pushed for an equaliser and came close when Michele Di Gregorio denied
Berat Djimsiti, but their lack of cutting edge proved costly.
The win lifts Juventus into the Champions League places, while Atalanta remains
seventh after a frustrating night in front of goal.
