Harry Kane came off the bench to fire a devastating hat-trick in Bayern Munich’s emphatic 5-0 win over Stuttgart, a result that stretched their Bundesliga lead to 11 points and delivered a record-extending 72nd league victory over their opponents.
Vincent Kompany rotated heavily, resting Manuel Neuer and Kane, but Bayern still struck first when Jonas Urbig launched a move finished stylishly by Konrad Laimer, who combined with Michael Olise before backheeling in his first goal against Stuttgart.
Stuttgart, one of the division’s most reliable scorers, briefly thought they were level before Nikolas Nartey’s header was ruled out for offside. Bayern went into the break ahead for the ninth time this season.
