Jannik Sinner battled through multiple interruptions, including a power outage, equipment failure and a blaring alarm, to defeat Canada’s Gabriel Diallo 6-2, 7-6(6) and move into the fourth round of the Cincinnati Open.

The top seed and defending champion saved a set point in the second-set tiebreak to seal his 23rd straight hard-court win.

The match saw delays from a widespread power failure, malfunctioning LED screens, and an audio system outage, but Sinner stayed composed to secure victory in under two hours.

Elsewhere, US fourth seed Taylor Fritz defeated Lorenzo Sonego 7-6(4), 7-5 despite a one-hour delay, while Frances Tiafoe beat Ugo Humbert 6-4, 6-4 to set up a meeting with Holger Rune, who overcame Alex Michelsen 7-6(4), 6-3.

Veteran Adrian Mannarino rallied past Tommy Paul 5-7, 6-3, 6-4, and Felix Auger-Aliassime advanced after Arthur Rinderknech retired due to heat exhaustion.
