Arteta Backs Arsenal to Show Growth Against Inter
Mikel Arteta has challenged Arsenal to show how much they have improved when they face Inter Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday.
The Gunners are top of the league-phase standings with a perfect record and are the only unbeaten side left in the competition.
Their only defeat at this stage last season came against Inter, who edged them 1-0 at the San Siro.
Arteta expects another tough test in Milan, with Inter leading Serie A under new coach Cristian Chivu, while Arsenal sit top of the Premier League.
However, the Arsenal boss believes his side are better placed this time around, pointing to their 11-game unbeaten run in all competitions.
A draw would secure Arsenal’s place in the last 16, while victory would guarantee a top-two finish and home advantage in the knockout rounds.
Inter, meanwhile, sit sixth in the standings after back-to-back Champions League defeats.
