Derek Chisora will face former world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder at
London’s O2 Arena on April 4, with the bout marking the 50 th professional fight for both
men.
The clash brings Chisora’s long career full circle.
The 42-year-old had previously said his 50 th fight would take place overseas, but he will
instead take on Wilder on home soil.
The pair were originally due to meet 13 years ago before Wilder withdrew after legal
issues prevented him travelling to the UK.
Chisora heads into the contest on a three-fight winning run, including points victories
over Joe Joyce and Otto Wallin.
Wilder, 40, reigned as WBC heavyweight champion from 2015 to 2020 and was once
regarded as the division’s most dangerous puncher.
The American drew with Tyson Fury in 2018 before losing the final two fights of their
trilogy, and returned to the ring in June 2025 with a seventh-round stoppage of Tyrrell
Anthony Herndon.
