Aliko Dangote, owner of the Dangote Refinery, has vowed to leverage all available resources to ensure that petrol prices remain below N740 nationwide during December and January. In a recent statement, Dangote expressed his determination to combat any efforts by importers to inflate prices for their own gain, which he believes undermines the nation’s refining capabilities.
“We don’t want to see people selling petrol for more than N740 nationwide. For those who want to keep prices high to sabotage the refinery, we will fight as much as we can to make sure that these prices are down,” he asserted.

Dangote’s comments reflect his ongoing commitment to providing affordable fuel for Nigerians and his frustration with certain market players who resist changes that could benefit consumers. His advocacy aims to bring relief to citizens during the critical holiday season, emphasizing the importance of local refining efforts in stabilizing fuel costs.
