Manchester City survived a wild Premier League thriller at Craven Cottage, edging Fulham 5-4 to claim their 19th straight win in this fixture and stay within five points of leaders Arsenal.

City flew out of the blocks, with Erling Haaland hitting the post early before sweeping in Jeremy Doku’s cross for his 100th Premier League goal, reaching the landmark in just 111 games.

He later set up Tijjani Reijnders for a cool chip over Bernd Leno, before Phil Foden smashed in a brilliant long-range strike to make it 3-0.

Fulham responded before the break through Emile Smith Rowe’s clever header, but City restored full control after halftime as Foden grabbed his second and Doku’s deflected strike made it 5-1.

The hosts refused to fold. Alex Iwobi curled in a superb low effort, and Samuel Chukwueze stunned City with two quick finishes to drag Fulham back to 5-4.

Craven Cottage roared as the comeback gathered pace, and Josh King came agonisingly close to equalising, denied on the line in the dying moments.

City held on, extending their winning streak against Fulham while the hosts suffered only their second home defeat of the league campaign.
