Inter Overturn Shock Start to Demolish Pisa
Inter shrugged off an extraordinary two-goal scare to crush Pisa 6-2 and tighten their
grip on the Serie A title race, moving six points clear at the top.
The visitors stunned the leaders early as Stefano Moreo punished a Yann Sommer error
before adding a second from a corner, leaving the San Siro in disbelief. But the
response was swift and ruthless.
Piotr Zielinski converted a penalty to spark the comeback, Lautaro Martínez headed
Inter level, and Pio Esposito completed the turnaround before half-time to cap a frantic
opening period.
After the break, it became one-way traffic. Federico Dimarco’s fine volley ended any
lingering resistance, before Ange-Yoan Bonny and Henrikh Mkhitaryan added late goals
to complete a commanding win.
The victory marks Inter’s ninth win in their last 10 league games, while Pisa remain
bottom after extending their winless run to 11 matches (D5, L6).
