Inter see off Torino to reach Coppa Italia semi-finals
Inter continued their Coppa Italia run with a 2-1 win over Torino, booking a semi-final
meeting with either Como or Napoli and extending their dominance over the Granata.
After a slow start, Inter took the lead 10 minutes before half-time when debutant Issiaka
Kamate delivered a precise cross for Ange-Yoan Bonny to head home his seventh goal
of the season.
Andy Diouf doubled the advantage early in the second half, sliding in Marcus Thuram’s
cut-back for his third goal of the campaign, all of them in cup competitions.
Torino briefly revived the tie just before the hour mark as Sandro Kulenovic scored on
his full debut, but an equaliser proved elusive, with Matteo Prati seeing a goal ruled out
for offside and Nikola Vlasic firing late chances wide.
The result made it eight straight head-to-head wins for Inter, while Torino’s wait for a
victory over the Nerazzurri stretched to 14 matches.
