Bayern Munich forward Luis Díaz has had his Champions League suspension reduced from three games to two following a successful appeal, UEFA confirmed on Friday.
Díaz was originally banned for three matches after being sent off for serious rough play in Bayern’s 2-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain in November.
UEFA announced that the appeal was upheld but did not provide further details on the panel’s reasoning.
The decision means the 28-year-old will be eligible to return for Bayern’s January fixture against Union Saint-Gilloise.
Bayern currently sit third in their Champions League group with 12 points from five games, their only defeat coming against Arsenal. They next face Sporting at home on Tuesday.
