President Bola Tinubu has called for divine intercession in resolving Nigeria’s challenges—stressing the need for national stability, peace and the protection of lives and property. He made the plea on Friday during a special prayer session at the National Mosque in Abuja which was held ahead of his 73rd birthday on March 29, 2025. The President also conveyed gratitude to God for preserving him in his leadership position.
Tinubu, while speaking after observing the Jumaat prayers reaffirmed his determination to working relentlessly for the nation—asserting that prayers and hard work remain crucial in overcoming obstacles. He encouraged Nigerians to keep on praying for unity and national progress—reaffirming his administration’s focus on economic reforms, security and expanding opportunities for citizens.
His birthday coincided with the peak of Ramadan—marking a crucial moment as his administration nears its second anniversary. However, some critics including AAC’s Kunle Wizeman Ajayi dismissed the call for prayers—arguing that Nigerians should instead organize mass action against policies causing hardship.
