Wolves Honour Late Diogo Jota with Hall of Fame Induction

July 18, 2025

Wolverhampton Wanderers have posthumously inducted Diogo Jota into their Hall of Fame following the Portuguese forward’s tragic death in a car accident earlier this month.

Jota was instrumental in Wolves’ promotion to the Premier League in 2018 before moving to Liverpool in 2020. He is remembered fondly for both his talent and character.

“Diogo was not only a phenomenal footballer, but someone who carried himself with humility and kindness,” said Matt Wild, Wolves’ director of football administration.

Jota joins legends like Billy Wright, Derek Dougan and Steve Bull in the Hall of Fame, which was established in 2008.
