Manchester United have completed the signing of Cameroon forward Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford in a deal worth £65 million, including add-ons.

The 25-year-old becomes United’s second major signing of the summer after Matheus Cunha and is expected to bolster their attacking options under new manager Ruben Amorim.

Mbeumo signed a contract running until 2030, with an option for an extra year.

He arrives after an outstanding Premier League season where he scored 20 goals and provided seven assists, starting every match as Brentford secured a 10th-place finish.

Speaking after the move, Mbeumo said: “This is the club of my dreams. I wore the shirt growing up. I want to reach another level here.”

United’s director of football Jason Wilcox hailed the deal, calling Mbeumo “one of the most productive players in England” over the last three seasons.

The forward will now join up with the squad ahead of their U.S. pre-season tour, where United are set to play three matches.

His first competitive appearance could come against Arsenal on the opening weekend of the new Premier League campaign.
