The International Sustainability Standards Board, in partnership with the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria, the Securities and Exchange Commission, NGX Regulation Limited, and EY, will hold a two-day technical training on IFRS sustainability disclosure standards in Lagos.

In a statement released on Sunday, the organisers disclosed that the programme will take place on September 10 and 11 at the SEC’s Lagos Zonal Office.

The initiative is aimed at strengthening sustainability disclosures by equipping preparers with a clear understanding of the ISSB Standards, particularly IFRS S1 and IFRS S2.

According to the statement, the sessions will adopt a learner-focused approach, featuring presentations, interactive activities, Q&A sessions, and networking breaks. Facilitators will include ISSB members Ndidi Edozien and Richard Barker, as well as Neil Stewart, Director of Corporate Outreach at the IFRS Foundation.
