Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has cautioned former President Goodluck Jonathan about pursuing the 2027 presidency under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), describing serious challenges and spiritual obstacles that he says await him.
In a statement released through his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Ayodele insisted that the PDP has been “cursed,” and urged Jonathan to consider alternative parties if he truly wants to run. He warned that should Jonathan remain with the PDP, he would face an arduous journey.
“If Jonathan wants to come out of PDP, he will do a lot of work because there is a curse on the party already; there are other parties he can come out from that are better than PDP.”
Beyond party affiliation, Ayodele prophesied that Jonathan would be misled by poor counsel, blindfolded spiritually, and ultimately embarrassed if he ran and lost — with his past coming back to haunt him.
“Jonathan will be blindfolded, wrong advisers will destroy his dreams, and if he contests and loses, he will be embarrassed by his past and face disrespect.”
Though some voices have floated the idea of a Jonathan candidacy for 2027, he has not made any formal declaration of intent.
