Jannik Sinner produced a commanding performance to defeat world number one Carlos Alcaraz 6-2, 6-4, successfully defending his Six Kings Slam title in Riyadh.
In a repeat of last year’s final, the Italian outclassed his Spanish rival from the very first point, breaking Alcaraz twice to storm through the opening set in under 30 minutes.
The world number two looked razor-sharp, controlling rallies with precision while Alcaraz struggled with unforced errors and failed to find any rhythm on serve.
The second set followed a similar pattern. Although Alcaraz briefly held firm early on, Sinner’s relentless pressure finally told in the seventh game as he broke for a 4-3 lead.
From there, the 23-year-old never looked back, serving out confidently to seal his second consecutive title in the Saudi capital.
The victory offered a measure of revenge for Sinner, who had fallen to Alcaraz in the US Open final earlier this year.
This time, though, the Italian looked untouchable and on current form, few would argue he’s playing the best tennis on the planet.
