Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has opened up about the cultural significance of his iconic red cap, a signature accessory that has become an integral part of his personal brand and stage identity.
Speaking in a recent interview on Comfortably Speaking, the rapper explained that the red cap, often seen as a fashion statement, carries a deep traditional meaning rooted in Igbo heritage.
“This cap is a war cap. In my tribe in Nigeria, when they want to go and fight war against another clan, the warriors — all of them will wear this,” Odumodublvck said.
Drawing a symbolic comparison, he likened the modern music industry to a battleground, emphasizing that his choice of attire reflects his mindset as an artist ready to conquer challenges.
“So if I enter the music industry, which is a battleground, put two and two together,” he added with a smile.
