Rapper and actor Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has voiced his frustration over the deepening tribal and religious divisions in Nigeria.

Reacting to a social media post by comedian Nasboi, who called for national unity beyond ethnic and religious lines, Falz lamented how leaders and political figures continue to exploit these differences to divide citizens.

In a heartfelt post, the Bop Daddy crooner described the situation as “depressing,” noting that it has worsened in recent years.

He wrote: “I cannot begin to explain how depressing it has been in recent years, seeing tribal and religious sentiments still being used to turn us against each other. At some point, we need to start thinking for ourselves.”

Falz’s comments come amid a heated online debate between Christian and Muslim youths following reports of U.S. President Donald Trump allegedly threatening military action against Nigeria over attacks on Christians by Islamic extremists.

The award-winning entertainer has long been known for using his platform to address social and political issues, urging Nigerians once again to rise above manipulation and focus on unity and accountability.
