Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis will go to trial in December 2026 after being indicted on alleged false accounting charges tied to the transfers of Victor Osimhen and Kostas Manolas.

Prosecutors allege Napoli inflated capital gains across the 2019–2021 financial years, focusing heavily on the €76m Osimhen deal, which included four youth players valued at nearly €20m.

The case also involves CEO Andrea Chiavelli and the club itself. Investigators believe the valuations in both the Osimhen and Manolas transfers were artificially boosted, with Manolas’ later €2.5m sale to Olympiacos raising further questions.

The investigation intensified after Osimhen’s testimony suggested he felt pressured and confused during negotiations shortly after his father’s death, saying he never saw a proper contract draft and was handed only a “pseudo-agreement.”

Napoli have strongly rejected the accusations, calling the ruling unfounded and insisting independent reports validate their accounting. The first hearing is set for 2 December 2026.
