Peller Apologises to Woman After Restaurant Confrontation, Cites Online Hate as Trigger

Popular TikTok content creator, Peller, has issued a public apology to Oginika, the woman he confronted during a recent altercation at a restaurant, while attributing his reaction to the intense hostility he has faced online.

The incident reportedly occurred after Oginika allegedly cautioned Peller for being loud at the food outlet. The exchange quickly escalated, with Peller criticising her in return. A video of the confrontation later circulated on social media, drawing widespread backlash, as many users described his behaviour as excessive and uncalled for.

Addressing the controversy during a livestream, Peller admitted he was at fault and expressed regret over his actions. However, he explained that the volume of online hate he has been subjected to in recent times contributed to his emotional outburst.

“That girl that I meet in that food place that we exchanged some words, I’m sorry. But I’m traumatized,” he said. “The hate I get online is a lot and when someone says something negative in real life, it gets to me.”

While apologising to Oginika, the content creator also maintained that she should be mindful of how she addresses people, describing her approach as disrespectful.

“Oginika, I’m sorry. But you too no dey talk to people like that, e no fair,” he added.

The apology has sparked mixed reactions online, with some users commending Peller for taking responsibility, while others argue that public figures should exercise greater restraint regardless of provocation.
