Zicsaloma Urges Strict Financial Boundaries, Says Family Entitlement Can Ruin Wealth Plans
Popular skitmaker Isaac Aloma, better known as Zicsaloma, has advised Nigerians to set firm financial boundaries with family and friends to achieve financial independence.
In a recent video, Zicsaloma revealed that his family’s sense of entitlement to his income once hindered his financial growth, causing several of his business ventures to fail. He urged people to prioritise savings and long-term goals, even if it means being perceived as selfish or “heartless.”
According to him, African families often feel entitled to a person’s wealth, making it difficult to build financial stability. He stressed that being financially disciplined is necessary to break cycles of dependency and secure a better future.
“I did a lot of business while growing up, but most of them failed because of family. The African family and even your own family are very entitled to your wealth,” he said. “It is very okay to be financially heartless even to your friends and family so that you can save up and break that circle. They will hate you for it, but trust me, it is for your own good.”
Zicsaloma’s comments have sparked conversations online about financial responsibility, family expectations, and personal wealth management.
