Atletico Madrid extended their unbeaten run against Real Sociedad to 13 matches
with a 3-2 victory in La Liga.
Alexander Sorloth opened the scoring early against his former club, but Carlos Soler
quickly equalised for the visitors.
After the break, Nico Gonzalez restored Atletico’s lead following a clever assist from
Antoine Griezmann, only for Mikel Oyarzabal to level again.
Gonzalez then headed the winner late on to seal Atletico’s third straight league
victory.
The result keeps Atletico third in the table while Sociedad suffered just their second
defeat in 11 league games.
