“I Just Want to Be Well” — Blessing CEO Reveals Stage Four Breast Cancer, Appeals for Help
Controversial Nigerian media personality, Blessing Okoro, has publicly disclosed her battle with stage four breast cancer and appealed for financial assistance to undergo urgent surgery.
In an emotional video shared online, the influencer, popularly known as Blessing CEO, appeared visibly weak and bald as she opened up about her diagnosis, revealing that the cancer has spread to both breasts.
According to her, doctors have recommended immediate surgical intervention, including the possible removal of one or both breasts, to prevent further spread of the disease.
“I have been diagnosed with breast cancer. At this point, I urgently need surgery, including a possible amputation, to stop the spread and determine how far the tumour has gone,” she said.
Blessing explained that the decision to go public with her condition was difficult but necessary, as her health challenges have left her unable to work and financially strained.
“It was a very difficult decision to come online, but in a situation like this, you can feel powerless. I have not been able to work, and my resources have been exhausted. That is why I am appealing for support,” she added.
Recounting how the illness began, she said she first noticed a lump in her right breast last year. Initial medical tests reportedly indicated that the lump was non-cancerous, leading her to delay its removal.
However, subsequent examinations revealed that the lump had become malignant and had spread to her left breast.
“But when I was ready to have it removed, another test was carried out, and it was discovered that the lump was cancerous and had spread to the left breast. We are now considering an amputation,” she explained.
She urged fans and well-wishers to support her during this difficult time, noting that any form of assistance would go a long way in helping her access life-saving treatment.
