Respect Yourself, Stay Away: Kate Henshaw Blasts Gatecrashers at Social Events

Popular Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has strongly criticised individuals who attend events without invitations, describing the act as disrespectful and inconsiderate to hosts.

In a video shared on Instagram, the actress addressed what she described as a growing trend of gatecrashing at parties and social gatherings. She called out not only those who show up uninvited but also individuals who extend invitations to others despite receiving a strictly personal invite.

Henshaw questioned the intentions of such guests, asking what they hope to achieve by attending events where they were not originally invited. According to her, such behaviour undermines the effort and planning that organisers invest in hosting events.

She also expressed concern over those who receive invitations meant for a single person but arrive with additional guests without informing the host. She emphasised that this practice reflects a lack of self-respect and regard for others.

Describing the act as rude, Henshaw urged people to exercise discipline and courtesy by honouring invitation boundaries. She concluded by advising individuals to respect themselves enough to avoid attending gatherings where they are not welcome.
