NSA Boss, Nuru Ribadu Vows to Crush New Terror Group, Lakurawa.

National Security Adviser Mr. Nuhu Ribadu has pledged to dismantle the newly emerged terrorist organization known as Lakurawa. Recent reports indicate that this group is active in Kebbi and Sokoto states, establishing administrative structures in various communities throughout the northern regions.

Ribadu stated, “Lakurawa is making a grave mistake. No one confronts Tinubu and comes out victorious. They have arrived at the wrong moment in history, and we will expel you from Nigeria. This is Nigeria in 2024, and changes are underway. We now have locations where we’ve successfully disarmed bandits. Tinubu is making progress. All of our security forces are collaborating effectively. Nigeria will stabilize. Just wait and see.”

The insurgent group, believed to originate from Niger and Mali, has reportedly risen in response to the abrupt cessation of joint military patrols along the borders following the July 2023 coup in Niger Republic. Recently, it has been reported that the group killed 15 individuals and rustled over 100 cattle in a local government area of Kebbi State.

In light of this escalating security threat, the NSA urged Nigerians to have faith in President Tinubu’s ability to eliminate the Lakurawa terror group, just as Boko Haram was defeated.

However, some analysts and members of the public have expressed concern regarding the tone and implications of the NSA’s statements. They argue that his remarks may come off as condescending towards President Tinubu, especially concerning such a sensitive issue as national security. Many believe that the threats posed by this new group primarily affect ordinary citizens and should not be politicized.
