Brighton have turned down a £54.4 million bid from Saudi club Al-Nassr for star winger Kaoru Mitoma.
Despite the hefty offer, the Seagulls remain firm, confident in their position and Mitoma’s commitment to the club.
Al-Nassr is expected to return with an improved bid, but Brighton, aware of Mitoma’s value both on and off the pitch, remain reluctant to sell.
The Japanese international, who signed a contract extension until 2027, has been a key figure in the squad, playing all 23 Premier League games this season.
With the Saudi transfer window closing soon, it remains to be seen whether Al-Nassr will test Brighton’s resolve with a higher offer.
