The Golden State Warriors have pulled off a major move ahead of the trade deadline, acquiring six-time All-Star Jimmy Butler from the Miami Heat in a massive five-team deal.

Butler has also agreed to a two-year, $121 million extension, keeping him in Golden State through 2026-27.

The full trade breakdown sees the Warriors gets Butler, while Miami receives Andrew Wiggins, P.J. Tucker, and a protected first-round pick.

Dennis Schroder heads to the Utah Jazz, Kyle Anderson moves to the Toronto Raptors (pending final approval), and the Detroit Pistons pick up Lindy Waters III and Josh Richardson.

Butler, who has been in the spotlight due to recent off-court controversies, is averaging 17.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 1.1 steals per game this season.

He now joins a Warriors squad fighting to climb the Western Conference standings, currently sitting 10th with a 25-24 record.

Meanwhile, Wiggins departs after six seasons in Golden State, where he played a key role in their 2022 championship run. Schroder, Anderson, and Waters III also find new homes in this complex trade, as teams make their final moves before the deadline.
