Lagos, Nigeria – February 21, 2025 – The African Writers Tribe proudly hosted its second annual African Writers Tribe Awards on February 17, 2025, at Rock View Hotels in Festac Town, Lagos. The event, organized by founder and tribe leader Josephine Oghenekevbe Ogufere, celebrated outstanding contributions across various professional fields, including literature, media, leadership, real estate, cybersecurity, and robotics.
The ceremony commenced with a prophetic declaration on literature by keynote speaker Bishop Priscilla Otuya, setting an inspiring tone for the day. Renowned filmmaker and storyteller Andy Abulu also delivered an engaging speech, sharing insights into the evolving landscape of African storytelling and beyond.
A highlight of the evening was the recognition of young and adult professionals excelling in their respective industries. Fiona Dozie Ibe received the prestigious Overall Best Transformational Leader award (Kids Category), recognizing her exceptional contributions and promise as a young leader.
