Colombia booked their place in the World Cup Round of 32 with a deserved 1-0 victory over DR Congo in Group K on Tuesday.

After dominating for long spells and creating a host of chances, Los Cafeteros finally broke the deadlock in the 76th minute when Daniel Munoz fired home his second goal of the tournament.

Luis Diaz came close to adding to the scoreline and even had two goals ruled out, while DR Congo goalkeeper Lionel Mpasi produced several fine saves to keep his side in contention.

The victory sends Colombia into the knockout stages and moves them to the top of Group K, two points clear of Portugal ahead of their final group match.

DR Congo, meanwhile, remain without a win and will look to end their campaign on a positive note against Uzbekistan.
