Patrik Schick scored twice as the Czech Republic edged past the Faroe Islands 2-1 in their 2026 World Cup qualifier in Hradec Králové.
Schick opened the scoring in the first half, heading in after a Lukáš Červ assist from a corner.
The Czechs dominated possession but struggled to convert chances, with Tomáš Souček and Tomáš Chorý going close.
Despite their control, the hosts were stunned in the 83rd minute when Gunnar Vatnhamar rose to head home an equalizer from a corner.
However, just two minutes later, Schick restored the lead, nodding in Jaroslav Zelený’s cross to secure all three points.
The win extends the Czech Republic’s unbeaten run to six matches, keeping them level on points with Montenegro in Group L.
