Max Verstappen delivered a timely reminder of Red Bull’s dominance with a composed and strategic victory at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, fending off McLaren’s challenge to claim his second win of the season and 65th career triumph.

Starting second on the grid, Verstappen executed a daring move around the outside of Oscar Piastri into Turn 1, taking the lead and controlling the race from there.

Two safety car interventions worked in his favour, allowing him to pit with minimal time loss as he managed tyre wear and race pace expertly.

Lando Norris crossed the line in second after a late push, while Piastri settled for third in a strong double podium finish for McLaren.

Lewis Hamilton impressed in fourth for Ferrari, showing signs of renewed form.

The win capped a significant weekend for Red Bull, celebrating their 400th race, and handed Verstappen a fourth straight win at Imola.

He now heads to Monaco looking to extend his momentum at a circuit where he’s already tasted victory twice.
