Bruno Fernandes has rejected a massive offer from Saudi giants Al-Hilal, opting to remain at Manchester United despite the chance to more than double his wages.
After days of consideration and talks with his family, the Portuguese playmaker informed Al-Hilal of his decision to stay put.
The Saudi champions were ready to pay between £80m and £100m for the 30-year-old, but no formal offer was submitted to United.
Fernandes, who has scored 98 goals in 290 games since his £47m move in 2020, is expected to address the situation during Portugal’s Nations League media duties in Germany.
His commitment is seen as a major boost for United and manager Ruben Amorim, while pundit Gary Neville praised Fernandes for turning down a lucrative exit during a difficult time at the club.
