Abuja will on September 2, 2025, play host to some Nigerian leaders as they unveil Care365 Health Hub, a digital health solution aimed at transforming access to quality healthcare nationwide and across Africa.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo will chair the launch, while his successor, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, will serve as Special Guest of Honour.

The initiative is being championed by Care365, chaired by former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar.

The high-profile event, scheduled for 11 a.m. at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, will bring together key stakeholders, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Mohammed Ali Pate, the FCT Minister, Barr. Nyesom Wike, state governors, the Director-General of NAFDAC, and other eminent figures.

Care365 Health Hub is envisioned as a comprehensive digital health management ecosystem designed to provide world-class medical services with speed, efficiency, and affordability.

Conceptualised by Nigerian innovation strategist, Dr. Ngozi Joseph Odumuko, the Hub integrates a wide range of services—ranging from basic and advanced diagnostics, real-time consultations with leading global specialists, and access to genuine pharmaceutical networks, to international partnerships for seamless service delivery.

The initiative seeks to drastically reduce Nigerians’ dependence on medical tourism, improve life expectancy, build capacity for local health professionals, and create jobs while strengthening confidence in the domestic healthcare system.

Speaking on the vision, Dr. Odumuko said Nigerians have the talent and expertise to deliver first-class healthcare solutions without constantly relying on foreign facilities.

“Medically and health-wise, we are going to reverse the trend of rushing abroad for high-fidelity diagnosis and treatment. Care365 is about creating inward-focused opportunities that harness our brilliance at optimal, affordable costs—solutions designed by Africans for Africans,” he said.

He further described the Hub as a transformative approach to Nigeria’s health infrastructure, built on broad support, commitment, and sacrifice to ensure that citizens receive the very best care possible within the country.
