Lawyer Deji Adeyanju, known as an ally of former presidential hopeful Omoyele Sowore, has predicted that President Bola Tinubu will win a second term in the 2027 election.
Adeyanju argued that certain structural and political dynamics strongly favor Tinubu and his party, the APC.
Adeyanju published his views via X (formerly Twitter), asserting that election rigging and vote buying would not be factors because those do not work in areas where a candidate is not already popular.
He outlined six key reasons he believes will secure Tinubu’s reelection including massive defections of governors; lack of opposition; desperation from Atiku & Obi; absence of a formidable coalition as in 2014; zoning / rotational presidency issues; Northern politicians eyeing 2031 and resisting Atiku’s 2027 run.
Adeyanju’s forecast is premised on the idea that the political environment and alliance shifts will heavily favor Tinubu’s reelection prospects.
