Juventus have confirmed they are under investigation by UEFA for potential violations of the governing body’s financial regulations.
The Serie A club disclosed the development in financial documents ahead of their annual shareholders’ meeting scheduled for November 7.
According to Juventus, UEFA informed them on September 18 that an inquiry had been launched into possible breaches of the football earnings rule covering the 2022–2025 period.
A verdict is expected in the spring of 2026, with the club warning that the case could lead to “a possible economic sanction and possible sporting restrictions.”
UEFA’s financial framework allows clubs to incur losses of up to €60 million ($70 million) over three years, with an extra €10 million permitted annually for those deemed to have “good financial health.”
Juventus, currently fifth in Serie A with 12 points from six games, reported a €58 million loss for the financial year ending June 30. The club last recorded an annual profit during the 2016/17 season.
