JUVENTUS CRUISE PAST BOLOGNA TO BOOST TOP FOUR PUSH.
Juventus strengthened their grip on a top-four spot with a comfortable 2-0 win over
Bologna securing a third straight victory with another clean sheet.
The hosts made a flying start, taking the lead inside two minutes when Jonathan
David glanced home a header from Pierre Kalulu’s cross after early pressure.
Juventus dominated much of the first half, with Francisco Conceição seeing a goal
ruled out for offside and chances going begging, while Bologna offered little threat
before the break.
The visitors improved briefly after halftime, but Juventus soon reasserted control and
doubled their lead when Khephren Thuram powered in a header from Weston
McKennie’s delivery.
Bologna hit the post late on but rarely looked like mounting a comeback, as Juventus
eased to victory to extend their unbeaten run and tighten their hold on the Champions
League place, while denting Bologna’s European ambitions.
