Owo Local Government Welcomes New Supervisors and Advisers in a Grand Swearing-In Ceremony

Owo, Ondo State – The Owo Local Government Secretariat was abuzz with excitement on October 13, 2025 as the Honourable Chairman, Hon. Tope Omolayo, officiated the swearing-in ceremony of newly appointed ward supervisors and advisers. This momentous occasion celebrated the commitment of the Local Government to enhancing community development through dedicated leadership.

The ceremony saw the appointment of seven notable individuals, each tasked with specific roles aimed at promoting the welfare and growth of their respective wards. Among the appointees were:

1. Mr. Tunde Isaac – Supervisor for Works (Idasen/Upenmen/Isuada Ward)

2. Dr. Oyegoke Temidayo Isaac – Supervisor for Health (Ehin Ogbe Ward 1)

3. Mr. Aminu Olatunbosun Rasaq – Adviser on Security (Igboroko 1 Ward 2)

4. Mr. Ojomo Jide – Supervisor for Agriculture (Ijebu Ward 5)

5. Mrs. Amos Dupe – Adviser on People with Disabilities, Humanitarian and Traditional Matters (Ipele Ward 7)

6. Mrs. Eniola Joshua – Adviser on Youth Development and Community Work (Isaipen Ward 8)

7. Mrs. Victoria Oyekorode- Supervisor for Education and Social Services (Igboroko 2 Ward 3)

Dignitaries who graced the ceremony, including Hon. Mrs. Temilade Omolayo, the Vice Chairman Hon. Ibrahim Ahmed, and the Local Government Secretary Hon. Oladimeji Olanrenwaju. Also present were Hon. Adedoyin Adeyefa, head of the legislative arm, and Mr. Taiwo Aladesuyi, head of local government administration. The event was further enhanced by the presence of the NULGE Chairman, Mr. Adene, the APC Chairman represented by the Local Government Secretary, and various ward counselors.

Baba T.S. Akinrinbola, leader of the APC Elders Forum, alongside ward women leaders, OSOPADEC Commissioner Mrs. Grace Abebi, and staff of Owo Local Government also attended. Families, friends, and well-wishers of the appointees filled the hall with an atmosphere of joy and anticipation for the future contributions of the new leaders.

In his address, Hon. Tope Omolayo urged the appointees to embrace their responsibilities with diligence and integrity, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in achieving the Local Government’s goals. He highlighted the critical roles they would play in addressing the needs of their communities and encouraged them to remain accessible to the citizens they represent.

The ceremony concluded with a vibrant cultural display from the Owo Local Government Cultural Group, celebrating the rich heritage of the community. As the new supervisors and advisers take their oaths, the Owo Local Government looks forward to a new chapter of effective governance and community development.
