Leeds cruise past Palace to extend unbeaten run

Leeds United stretched their Premier League unbeaten run to four matches with an emphatic 4-1 home win over Crystal Palace, moving six points clear of the relegation zone at Elland Road.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin struck twice before half-time, first tapping in a rebound on 38 minutes and then powering home a header in stoppage time to give the hosts firm control.

Leeds maintained their dominance after the break, with Ethan Ampadu adding a third from a corner before Anton Stach sealed the win with a superb late free-kick.

Palace grabbed a late consolation through Justin Devenny’s penalty, but it did little to change the outcome.

The victory means Leeds have now scored at least three goals in three straight home league games, while Palace suffered a second successive defeat and remain winless after European outings this season.
