Carlos Alcaraz reached the Australian Open semi-finals for the first time with a
commanding 7-5, 6-2, 6-1 win over home favourite Alex de Minaur on Tuesday.
The world number one was pushed early by the Australian but took control as the match
wore on, silencing the Rod Laver Arena crowd with a dominant display.
Alcaraz is yet to drop a set at the tournament and will face Alexander Zverev next.
The 22-year-old is chasing the only Grand Slam title missing from his collection and
could make history by becoming the youngest man to win all four majors, surpassing
Rafael Nadal.
